Look at these GREAT resources on Egypt

The following websites offer great information about Ancient Egypt,one of the units in 6th grade Social Studies. Many of them include interactive activities as well. Please let me know what your thoughts are on the websites by posting comments following the guidelines posted in the right sidebar.

This site has easy to read short articles, with a navigation sidebar on the left. Each topic has a “story” or background information, “explore” that is usually interactive, and then a “challenge” or a game to test your knowledge.
Canadian Museum of Civilization: Mysteries of Egypt - http://www.civilization.ca/cmc/exhibitions/civil/egypt/egypte.shtml#menu.
Under “Egyptian Civilizations” there are links to information about geography, religion, sciences, a timeline, and a glossary.

This site includes links to articles on various topics from hieroglyphs, daily life, mummies, and gods. There are also a few interactive activities like building a pyramid, and a mummy creator.
