About Me

Mrs. Kathy Domboski
I grew up in Carroll County,MD and graduated from Westminster High School. After graduating, I attended Frostburg State University and earned my degree in Social Sciences with a certification in Secondary Education. My first teaching job was in Salisbury MD. I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. I then moved to Frederick County and taught 7th grade. I also earned my Masters in Technology for Education from Johns Hopkins. In 2004, I moved down to Blacksburg VA,(GO HOKIES)and worked at Sylvan Learning Center, as a Director of Education. Eventually, I found myself back in public schools as a Technology Resource Teacher at the middle and high school level. In 2005, I came back to Frederick County, Maryland and taught 6th and 7th grade Social Studies at Walkersville Middle school until 2012. I earned National Board Certification in Social Studies in 2009. I then continued my education at McDaniel College in School Librarianship, earning my certification in 2012. I currently am the teacher librarian at Urbana Middle School.
